LEELLY
Main features
The next electric blanket on our list is by Leelly. This heated throw is also powered by plugging it into a 5V USB outlet of any sort. It has some excellent features, like three temperature levels and three timer settings. Basically, you can choose the temperature you want your blanket to warm up to (35°C, 45°C, or 55°C) and set it to turn off after 30, 90, or 120 minutes. These features can be really useful and give you more freedom of choice, but they come at a substantially higher price (twice as much as our No 1 pick). That’s why even with all these great additions, Leelly couldn’t beat ThermoHug and ranked second.
Design and Comfort
Leelly looks really cozy and gives a “cold winter evening next to the fireplace” kind of feeling because it is made from soft fleece and decorated in a classic plaid pattern. This wearable blanket is the largest one on the list—80x150cm, but it isn’t heated throughout its whole size and only in the middle. You can wear it around your shoulders so your back is receiving the heat, or place it on your stomach, legs, feet, or wherever else you’d like. Another convenient thing about Leelly is that the heating element is waterproof, and the USB cable has a cover for when the blanket needs washing, so you don’t even need to take it out and can wash it right away.
♨ Value
While Leelly offers some impressive features like adjustable temperature or automatic power-off, it also costs significantly more than most of the blankets on this list. Our team faced a dilemma when deciding which was more important—couple more features or a considerably more budget-friendly price—but came to an agreement that we would instead buy two heated blankets for the same price. However, it is a personal choice for everybody, so if you think the extra settings are worth the price, we are certain you won’t be disappointed.
